Project Manager
Jeff Smith serves as a Project Manager on HomeFed Corporation’s Development Team, contributing his expertise since 2024. His primary focus is on the meticulous planning and execution of land development operations for HomeFed’s master planned villages in Chula Vista’s Otay Ranch community. With a personal connection to the area, having grown up in Otay Village One, Mr. Smith is deeply invested in the successful completion of villages eight, nine, and ten.
In his role, Mr. Smith manages a diverse array of responsibilities, including strategic planning, engineering, construction oversight, precise cost projections, consultant coordination, and effective revenue generation. His adept leadership and sharp analytical skills ensure the thoughtful management of the company’s development assets in San Diego.
Before joining HomeFed Corporation, Mr. Smith accrued invaluable experience in the homebuilding industry, following a distinguished tenure as an Armor Officer in the US Army. Mr. Smith continues to serve in the US Army Reserve, holds a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA, and his credentials include a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, further enriching his professional repertoire.
